Based in Datchet, Berkshire, Robert Bicker is the driving force behind The Musselman. Dutch-born Robert has a passion for quality seafood that goes back to his childhood in Holland. As a boy, he has fond memories of family mealtimes – with everyone huddled around the table tucking into bowls of glorious, steaming mussels.
After a career in the Financial Sector, he decided to pursue his life-long ambition of working with seafood. The Musselman was established in 2013 and now Robert is delighted to be able to bring some of the wonderful seafood delights of his native Holland to customers here in the UK.
Working alongside Robert is his wife, Francoise Fielding. Francoise….or ‘Freddie’ as she’s known, is also a personal chef who creates original, quality menus for a wide range of clients across London and the Home Counties.
